Links to Cemetery Codes :

Codes consist of two letters and a number, e.g., AA12.  A cemetery code is listed after each veteran's name, company, regiment and other information.

The cemetery code tells you in what cemetery the veteran  is buried.

If a cemetery name, rather than a cemetery code is listed, then we have not visited the cemetery, and the soldier's grave was contributed by someone else.  In those cases, we will link to the contributor's email or webpage.

For example, Theo sent us the information about veteran
Charles Nelson buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY and the veteran information is linked to Theo's site with a photo of the gravesite and wonderful biography of Charles Nelson.

Similarly, Don from Wisconsin has promised us a photograph of Charles Miller (
see our photo of gravestone) as soon as he is able.

If you have information and photographs of a Civil War veteran's burial location - please let us know and we will include the information and photo or url on our site.

If you have a question about a cemetery, a gravestone, or a cemetery code, please email us at
rjones7354@yahoo.com.  The links to the Cemetery Code keys are listed to the left.
