Children's Graves evoke sadness. Viewing those grave towers from the 1800s on which parents list the names of their children buried below, I cannot comprehend their tragedy.
Some children's graves are large monuments, others are simple, many children's graves are unmarked.
The graves below are from the Wauzeka Cemetery, est. 1870.
Lambs and birds mark this infant's grave. He is buried by other relatives, but not his parents.
